A Prayer for Peace

To honour the United Nations' International Day of Peace today, I wanted to share a prayer for peace with you.
I know there is one Mind, one infinite Intelligence, one all-encompassing energy of Love. I call this Spirit, and it is with-in this infinite loving mind of Spirit where every person lives and moves and experiences this thing called Life.
There is unlimited potential and possibility for each and every person on this planet. That possibility includes world peace. I recognize that if something has never happened before, there is nothing standing in the way of it happening now. “I know that deep within every person, the Divine Pattern of perfect peace is already implanted.” * We create our own experience, both collectively and individually and together we are creating a new reality of peace, love and harmony.
Hand in hand with peace on earth, there is peace with earth. We are taking action, adjusting our beliefs, behaviours, and expectations; providing the planet everything needed to continue sustaining every living thing.
I know there is peace in the workplace, the home and in the family, as we recognize the Divine spark in everyone we encounter.
Every living being has the potential for peace with-in themselves, and I recognize the only thing that could block that is a false sense of separation from Spirit. Right here and right now I release any thoughts of imperfection, allowing it to disappear into the nothingness from which it came.
It is with a profound sense of gratitude that I recognize what is mine to do, as this Divine plan now moves into action and form.
And so, it is.
*This is a line from the Prayer for World Peace written by New Thought Author, Ernest Holmes

We believe that world peace is possible and we are committed to doing our part to raise the consciousness on the planet. Amanda and I participated in a multi-faith Peace Day event this weekend. I brought a sign to represent our community and our beliefs and Amanda shared a New Thought prayer for peace.

How will you plant seeds of peace today? We'd love to hear from you.
In peace,
Derek Hinchliffe
